To be accepted as
an accredited member of WOEAC a university must meet the following
standards.
The university must be legally registered within the country
it is situated. It must offer a full distance learning degree
program without any resident requirement.
The
university must have a non-discrimination policy on the basis
of race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability,
sexual orientation, or marital status.
The
university will have to provide a confidentiality policy about
the security of the student's academic and personal record
and not release any information without the prior approval
of the student. The university will not graduate any student
who fails to meet the academic requirements as set by that
institution.
It would be the responsibility of the
university to inform WOEAC about any material change in the
operation of their college that might cause concern to the
Commission.
A university may only be considered
for accredited membership when nominated by a member of WOEAC.
A member may quit any time by tendering a resignation either
in writing or by e-mail.
